Unlike separate DVD's, this one doesn't remember where you left off even if you put the TV to sleep, so you have to leave it on or search for the spot you left off. Same is true if you switch to TV, it forgets all about the DVD, and you have to wait through the whole copyright messages and previews all over again. <br /> <br />And waiting is a big part of this TV's experience. You have to wait about a minute for it to boot up - my computer is faster! And you have to wait a few seconds each time you change a channel. <br /> <br />The remote is very confusing - LOTS of identical buttons in a matrix. I think it works as expected for a TV. Thought it was easy to setup.

PROS

TV has a really good receiver built in. Picked up 2 extra channels my Toshibia didn’t.

CONS

As previous review mentioned, very dark picture to start but increasing brightness fixes it quick.

No HDMI. So if you are looking for HD sources other than TV reception like a blueray – forget it. Regular DVD should go into progressive scan to get best DVD picture.

Very Light. Feels very easy to knock over.

Overall, the cons were minor compared to what I got for upgrading to this TV. Plus box comes with it’s own carry handle if you buy from a store.
